design square foot home 001

Each Log Home magazine has a section devoted to floor plans, where potential owners begin their search for the perfect home of their dreams. I did it too, and ordered piles of piano books carefully, while I started my comparison shop based on the beauty of the photographs. I only realized, until later, that what really caught my attention was the third dimension: the roof lines, the terraces and the big, exciting rooms.

Buying a house is an important decision. It is very likely that he will pay for that purchase during the next three decades of his life, and he will live in the humble abode that he chooses for a good part (if not all) of those years. This is a purchase in which you do not want to feel bad afterwards and the best way to avoid the buyer's remorse is to think carefully about the house you want in advance. Knowing what you want to limit your research, will prevent you from buying something you do not want and makes you think about the needs of your family in a new home. These are some of the considerations that you should consider.
